Very prolific Chesterfield independent, although actually finding any of their many games nowadays is a pretty tall order. This was the firm that famously used to take out full-page ads in Acorn User, only to fill them with hand-scrawled impressions of how their games looked on screen rather than real screen shots! Packaging was similarly uninspired - each game simply bearing the Kansas logo in a different colour. To be fair Pinball Arcade is a pretty durable piece of software, and remains the easiest Kansas game to trace.

Puzzle game, put the pieces of the jigsaw back in the right positions in the quickest time possible. Its probably aimed at younger kids, just move the pieces around the board and get them into the right places. There are only 6 pieces, but the graphics look quid good so it's not that bad.

You have to try and control a runaway train, making sure that you switch tracks in time before you crash into a blockage on the track or some other such thing. The graphics are quite good, but it isn't really a very playable game, and gets boring all too quickly. Not a bad idea though, at least it is quite original.

Entertaining little Mode 7 educational text adventure. This was what the beeb was so good at, and why it's still used in schools, these sorts of games are so much fun, even if you're 19!

A clone of BMX on the Moon by Superior this is definitly nowhere near as good, the buggy is uncontrollable, it jumps to far ahead, and there are just too many craters to jump over. It is nicely presented, but just needs an injection of gameplay to make it worthwhile.

The only Pinball game on the BBC as far as I know, this is actually quite playable, and has some ince graphics. The ball moves quite realistically, and it also includes a table designer, which is a really good idea and extends the longevity of the game. This is definitly worth a play, and is even better fun for two or more players!

Another text adventure, this one is quite good fun, although its not the most advanced text adventure on the beeb. Its not really bad, its just not amazing.
